North Trewint
Tucked down in between the Moors and nestling in a corner of a small hamlet lies North Trewint, just half mile from the pretty village of Menheniot and 2 miles from the A38.

Extended in 1820 for the Reverend Honey the house soon became one of the largest farms in the area. Although not a working farm today, the surrounding countryside is well stocked with sheep and South Devon cattle. From the top of the home paddock the views stretch to Bodmin Moor, Kit Hill and Dartmoor.

Only seven miles from the sea, it is within easy reach of many gardens, houses and walks. The southwest coastal path and pretty villages of Looe, Polperro and Fowey are just a few miles away, and the Eden Project is within easy reach. The settings for many of Daphne du Maurier's books are also nearby.

The village pub, just half a mile away, offers evening meals, and there is an extensive menu at the popular Hayloft Restaurant just a mile further down the lane.

Avril & Peter found, fell in love with North Trewint in March 2007, moving from Somerset where they had established a five diamond gold award B&B establishment. They realised that the house and gardens needed to be shared - so happily they have opened their comfortable and friendly home to guests, new and old alike.
